Umaid Bhawan Palace
Umed Bhawan is one of the most beautiful palaces of Kota. Umed Bhawan Palace was built in 1009 by Maharao Umed Singh II of Kota. This palace was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob who spent many years in Rajasthan. The overall design of the palace is European.
Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort is a magnificient monument in Jaisalmer. The Jaisalmer fort is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh. Jaisalmer fort is also known as the "Sonar Quila" or the Golden fort. This fort was built by the Bhatti Rajput chieftain Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD, on the highest point of the Tricuta hill.
Lake Palace
The Lake Palace in Udaipur is a palace on an island in the middle of Lake Pichola girdled by hills. Lake Palace was built in 1754 by Maharana Jagat Singh II in Udaipur. This palace was earlier known as Jag Niwas and was named by Maharana Jagat Singh. Lake Palace was the Summer residence of the rulers of Mewar. This former summer residence of the Royal family has now been converted into a fabulous luxurious hotel. The Lake Palace Hotel is considered to be one of the best hotels in the world.
